Lisa Lowe, RN, BSN - Summer Internship at National Institute of Health
Graduate Student, Lisa Lowe, RN, BSN was accepted for a summer internship program (SIP) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Md. Lisa will work side by side with an advanced practice nurse and a scientist in the area of women’s health. Lisa plans to build on the work of her experiences at the 2008 summer National Human Genome Research Institute ( NHGRI) that she attended with Dr. Tymkow.
The summer programs at the NIH provide students with the opportunity to work with leading scientists. Awardees receive a stipend for eight weeks of study. The application process is on-line and requires proof of citizenship, curriculum vitae or resume, course work and grades, a cover letter describing research interests, career goals, and name and contact information for two references.
