Certificate in Substance Abuse Intervention in Healthcare
The Nursing Program in collaboration with the Addiction Studies Program at GSU is pleased to be offering a new curriculum leading to a Certificate in Substance Abuse Intervention in Healthcare. This program which has been funded by a grant from the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) is designed for practicing nurses. The certificate is comprised of four 3-credit hour courses (NURS 550, NURS 551, NURS 552 and NURS 553). Contact hours for those nurses wishing to pursue continuing education contact hours in lieu of academic credit have been approved by the Illinois Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
