Illinois Writing Project at GSU Aug 07

The Illinois Writing Project and Governors State University are collaborating to offer teachers of all grade levels and from all subjects a unique opportunity to learn new and effective methods of educating their students. The course, Illinois Writing Project-Methods for Teaching Writing, will be taught by veteran teacher and educator of teachers, Judy Johnstone. Johnstone, of Plainfield, earned her master’s degree from Governors State University, taught English at Carl Sandburg High School for 32 years, and has been with the Illinois Writing Project for 25 years.

Classes will be held daily, Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 16, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., in the Room E1552, Governors State University, 1 University Parkway, University Park, IL.

Participants may register for EDPD 650 Topics in Professional Development and earn two graduate credit hours or 30 CPDUs. For more information, see attached flyer or call Renee Zdych at (800) 478-8478, ext 4099.
