Governors State University Friends of the Library Book Sale
University Park, IL, August 31, 2007 -- The Friends of the Governors State University Library are sponsoring a reception, book sale, and art exhibit on September 19, from 4 to 6 p.m., on the library balcony at Governors State University. The event is free and open to the public.
Donated books will be on sale for $.50 to $10. The sale is open to members of the Friends from 4 to 5 p.m. and to the general public from 5 to 6 p.m. Visitors are welcome to join the Friends to review the books at the earlier time.
The artwork of Faye Zalecki, of Country Club Hills, will also be on display during the book sale. Zalecki uses a wide variety of computer software, archive quality papers, and permanent ink to create and print limited editions of her artwork. She has exhibited her work at Tall Grass Arts Association in Park Forest, White Street Gallery in Frankfort, The Art House in Palos Heights and the McCord Gallery in Palos.
